Old Blog Posts- Rediscovered and Revised

I am realizing more and more every day that my memory is absolute crap. Obscure facts? Check! Pet names? Check! Song lyrics? Check! How to get to my doctor’s office? Negative. Who I am supposed to call to take care of insurance/banking/utilites/etc? Nope. I have a hard time remembering specifics from when Q and I were dating unless I really sit and think about it, or if there are pictures because that always jogs my memory. I bring this shortcoming up mine up because apparently I started a blog in 2009.  Reading my old writing always gives me some kind of insight into myself, I can almost always make myself giggle so when I read old jokes I still laugh!  Reading those posts also made me remember how freaking young I was when I got married!  I sound like a total teenager!  This picture of me and my mom was taken a few months after the first post I’m sharing.

Me and Mama- April 2009

There were only a few posts, and most were the insane ramblings of an insomniac, but here are the two that made me smile and I wanted to share them with y’all!

November 20, 2009

Yes, I know that is a terrifying idea… That some guy comes into your bedroom and sprinkles some sort of sleeping drugs or some other weird shit on your eyes and you can finally sleep. But I’m to the point that I would totally open the window for him if I knew that sparkly dust worked!!

I am so tired but my brain won’t shut down. Maybe I should re-name my blog… Whiney bitch that can’t sleep. Annoying insomniac ramblings. Hmm I’ll definitely consider it lol.

My hubby is snoring like a lumberjack and even my dogs are snoring a little… Rubbing it in? Oh hell I just want a good, NORMAL night sleep. Go to bed at 10 and wake up at 9 would be more wonderful than words could describe. I would feel normal and not a lazy, useless, class-skipping, sloppy ol’ house wife! OMG that is not what I want to be!

~~~~~~~~I’m skipping like 5 paragraphs that are basically sleepy babbling~~~~~~~~
If you read this whole thing, God bless you and thanks! Also, please don’t hunt me down and kill me for complaining for like 45 minutes :-/ feel free to leave comments, messages etc! They are always welcome!!
Semper Fi till I die,
Then a few years later I wrote this one… and to this day that garden that Q built me is one of my favorite things in the whole entire world.
February 28, 2010
I grew up in Georgia with a great grandfather and a great grandmother who could grow anything and everything!  I always wanted my own garden, but never had a place to grow one.  When my husband and I moved to North Carolina we bought a home with a wonderful back yard and my first thought was GARDEN!  We’ve lived here for less than a year, but he built me a raised bed garden so that I could plant last summer.  Because it was so late in the season I didn’t have a lot of time to plan my garden.  This year I do have the time.
I may have been a little hasty when I bought a few of those indoor greenhouse kits to use.  I planted marigolds, sunflowers, bell peppers, cucumbers, serrano chili peppers, tomatoes, habanero peppers, onions, and chives.  My marigolds are already sprouting and I am SO excited!  I think I may have already over-watered my tomatoes though.  I just get so excited and do things without thinking them through completely.  I’ve been doing research and trying to make good notes this year about the plants that I am trying to grow.  I’ll try to keep you updated and post pictures when I can!  Fingers crossed that I have a green thumb and not a black thumb.
~~~~~~~~I’m skipping the super long signature, it’s the same as above~~~~~~~~

I tried to find some pictures of my garden, but can’t seem to locate them (if I run across them after I publish this I will add them to the post!).  Organizing my pictures into some sort of order and in one central location is something I really need to do!  Anyway, I hope y’all got a kick out of these like I did!

(still) Blissfully lost in my own little world,

Brogan
